He’s Not Just a Man — He’s God’s Man ✝️

We live in a world that has no problem accepting that Jesus was a man. Many will even agree He was the man—a good teacher, a prophet, a miracle worker. But the real power of the gospel doesn’t stop there. Jesus isn’t just a man, He is God’s man, the only begotten Son who carried the full weight of God’s promise for our salvation.

In Ephesians 2, we’re reminded that even when we were dead in sin, God raised us up with Christ and seated us in heavenly places. That’s not poetic—it’s positional. When Jesus died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended, He didn’t just complete a task—He opened access. He fulfilled a promise and gave us the power to become sons and daughters of God.

But many of us stop short. We believe in the death, the burial, and even the resurrection, but we don’t step into the benefits of our salvation. We try to “date” God—cleaning ourselves up, hiding our flaws, and thinking we’ve got to earn His love. The truth? We were never good on our own. Even our best attempts at righteousness are like filthy rags without Him. And yet, He still chose us.

Jesus didn’t just die for sin—He became sin. He became the very things that separated us from God so we could be made right with Him. That’s the power of Easter. Not just a cross, but a resurrection. Not just forgiveness, but access to everything God promised through Christ.

So what does that mean for us?

  • You’re not trying to become good—God made you good.

  • You’re not earning His love—it’s already yours.

  • You’re not just saved from something—you’re saved for something.
