Some stories begin with ink and paper—but this one began with firelight and a whispered name.
In John 3, Nicodemus, a religious leader, came to Jesus under the cover of night. He had all the credentials: knowledge, position, respect. But something about Jesus disrupted his neatly ordered beliefs. Jesus didn’t meet him with condemnation—He met him with mystery. “You must be born again.” It wasn’t just a call to religion—it was an invitation to transformation.
That same invitation extends to us today.
We often cling to what’s familiar, even when it’s broken. We return to the things that birthed our old identity, even when Jesus is offering something entirely new. But once you’ve encountered Him—really encountered Him—there’s no going back.
Nicodemus came to Jesus in secret, but later stood for Him publicly, even helping to bury His body. One private conversation shifted his public life forever.
This is more than a story of a Pharisee and a midnight meeting. It’s a reminder that you’re not too religious, too far gone, or too broken to be changed. That moment when Jesus wrecks your old theology, calls out your comfortable habits, and meets you in your questions—that moment is the turning point.
Look up and live. The standard has been raised. The Son of Man has been lifted up.
Don’t Just Hear the Story—Be Part of It.
